What are your daily anchors? The things you desire above all else to find their place in your family’s schedule.

For me it’s:

1. Alter Time – a time twice a day (morning and evening) when we gather on the fireplace in the living room to sing a hymn, read scripture, and pray.
2. Family Fun Time – 10 minutes of whatever my children choose. It often becomes longer than 10 minutes, but setting a timer makes it seem attainable.
3. Read-aloud time – setting a timer or setting the goal of one chapter.

These are my anchors. They keep us fixed in faith and family. When I start to feel as though our days are slipping away or nothing is getting done, I come back to focus on our anchors.
