We need the mountains and hills of pride brought low, and the valleys of timidity and insecurity exalted. Both extremes of the same sin: Self.

We all need the noise of self silenced. To be freed from the chains and released from the thought of self.

We need to be crucified with Christ, where it’s no longer us who lives but Christ who lives in us.

Self is a hinderance preventing us from rightly serving God and loving others.

My prayer is for His Presence to burn away all that doesn’t glorify Him and then for God to rush in to fill the space self once occupied.
