Are there any “weak and beggarly elements” that we have turned towards?
These are things in our life that are destitute of honor, Christian values, or eternal riches. They are powerless to accomplish a worthy end.
As Christians, we are not to be in bondage to these “weak and beggarly elements.”
Is there anything in your life that has no honor, yet you obey?
Anything that has no Christian values, yet you are a slave to?
Anything that holds no eternal riches, yet you yield to?
Anything that has no worthy end, yet you are in subjection under?
Let’s turn from these “weak and beggerly elements” and turn towards the living and true God.
Galatians 4:9 But now after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage?
