In John 14:30 Jesus said the ruler of this world had nothing in Him.
That sums up our aim as Christians. As children of the one Living God, let us be able to equally say – “The ruler of this world has nothing in me!”
He has no power.
He has no stronghold.
He has no influence.
He has no control.
He has no claim.
May there be no hidden darkness reigning in our lives. No place in our thinking, emotions, or actions that are footholds for the enemy. May we not give the enemy any ground or grant him any opportunity to mar the testimony of Christ in us.
We are on a journey of sanctification with our Creator and Savior. He wants to make us holy as He is holy.
Let’s pray for His light to shine on all crevices of our hearts so He can sift out what is not of Him.
In full surrender, let’s believe what He says about us, reckon ourselves dead to sin, and walk in newness of life.
The brevity of this life is to be lived out as the victors in battle.
