Reconciliation.

• It is to have your sin covered over, atoned for, purged, and cleared of guilt.

• It is to be restored to God’s favor through repentance and faith in the work of Christ.

• It is to be brought back into a state of harmony and for God to receive you into His favor.

We have received reconciliation through the Lord Jesus Christ.

It pleased the Father to reconcile all things to Himself – things on earth and things in heaven – through the blood of Christ’s cross.

We were once alienated from God and enemies in our mind by wicked deeds, but God reconciled us to Himself. Now Christ can present us holy, blameless, and above reproach in His sight.

If He did this through His death while we were enemies, how much more can we be saved by His life now that we are reconciled?

He committed to us the word of reconciliation. (Which means He established the doctrine and ordained the teaching.)

AND NOW – God has given us the ministry of reconciliation.

We are now ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us. We are to implore others on Christ’s’ behalf – “Be reconciled to God!”
