In a spiritual sense, imagine yourself standing naked before God. Uncovered. Bare. Fully seen.
Nothing about your inner man veiled or hidden.
Every intention of your heart exposed. Every thought, emotion, and act completely known.
Do you imagine you would feel any sense of shame? Embarrassment? Guilt? Regret?
We wrongly think we can keep parts of ourselves concealed in darkness. At times we even attempt to cover things from our own eyes. We excuse away actions. We hide true motives. We seek to justify emotions.
Don’t wait for Judgement Day to allow yourself to be seen and known by God.
Regularly set yourself in the holy presence of God and allow His all-seeing eyes penetrate you. Feel His Spirit pass through yours. Attempt to lay every crevice of your heart in the light, bare before Him, with a desire to be seen, to be known, and to be cleansed.
God is not some far-removed Being who sees in part. He is much nearer than we realize. He is Spirit, in and through all.
Turn yourself towards Him.
Regularly practice being fully seen by Him.
Allow His presence to burn away all that doesn’t align with Him.
Let the goal be to stand before the Lord uncovered, with nothing unclean inside to cause shame.
Hebrews 4:13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
