The next time you are washing dishes, folding laundry, sweeping the floor, making a bed, picking up toys, or dumping trash, think about the gift you have been given to have the strength to serve your family in such a way.
Feel the strength in your core, in your arms, and in your legs. Notice how quickly you can turn and bend, how fast you can process the thoughts of what’s going on.
This simple mindset keeps me joyful in my homemaking tasks.
Our health and strength is something to take notice of and be thankful for. It’s definitely not promised and undoubtedly will dwindle with time. Let’s praise the Lord for this strength He’s given and use it to serve our family.
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. (Ephesians 6:7)
