I want to climb
to the peak of the mountain
to the feet of the Father
and see with my eyes
I want to rise
from the death of this valley
from the pain that surrounds me
and stay here a while
You are glorious
and victorious
and You’ve welcomed us
into Your arms

I love these lyrics.
The mountain is that intimate place where you’re alone with the Lord, beholding His face, transformed by His presence.
To ascend the mountain, you must climb. It takes a willingness and devotion.
And the peak of the mountain is the most intimate of places. To enjoy the view reserved for the peak, one must invest intentional time and effort.
Are you committed to the climb? Have you seen the peak with your own eyes? Or are you depending on someone else’s portrayl of the view?
The invitation is there. Through Jesus, the veil has been torn and the way is opened for all who are willing to turn, draw near, climb, and behold.
Jesus brought the message that the kingdom of heaven is now at hand, meaning it’s within reach.
We can rise above the death that surrounds us and linger in His transforming presence.
At the feet of the Father, bowed in worship, beholding His face…it’s what we’re designed to thirst for.
