A Mama Paraphrase of 1 Peter 5:2-3 after looking at the Greek text:

Shepherd, govern, and nourish the children God has given you and entrusted to you, this group of Christ’s disciples.

Take oversight, look after, and care for them willingly and of your own accord. With cheerful readiness and a ready mind.

Don’t simply live with them to subdue them, master them, and hold them in subjection.

But live before them as an example worthy of imitation. By the Lord’s grace, be a pattern they can conform themselves to as you conform yourself to Christ.
